Buying the Guide Book
Walking the Herriot Way is available in two different formats; a traditional printed guide book and an electronic version which you can view on a computer and print at your leisure. The printed guide is for Clockwise walkers only. All purchasers of the printed version will receive a free electronic version, provided on CD and posted along with the book.
The electronic version is provided for Anti-Clockwise walkers. This edition will be emailed to you.
PayPal is my preferred method of payment. Paypal guarantees both ends of the transaction. Use the drop down list below to select the version of the guide book you want and then click "Buy Now". Using PayPal is very easy, click here for help on using PayPal.
LDWA Members are entitled to 15% discount on all versions of the book. Check the LDWA Discounts page for the code and enter this into the special instructions box in the PayPal payment process. PayPal doesn't provide a discount facility, so the difference will be sent as a partial refund.
Upon receipt of your payment I will send you the appropriate version of the guide book.
If you purchased the printed version I will send you a confirmation email as soon as the book has been posted. If you purchased the electronic version I will send you an email containing the electronic version of the guide book. Please allow 2 working days for all items to be dispatched.
If the email address associated with your paypal account is not the one you want the conformation or book sending to, please drop me an email to tie up the two email addresses.

Payments by Cheque
I'm happy to accept a cheque on a UK bank account. I'm also happy to send the book before the cheque clears.
Send me an email if you want to pay by cheque and I'll reply with the details; i.e. my name and address. Which for obvious reasons I will not post on here. Send your email to: stuart@walkingplaces.co.uk
Please remember to write your email address on the back of the cheque before you post it.
Payments by Cash
Probably uniquely on the Internet I'm also happy to accept cash.
That is I'm happy if you are. Remember that a very small percentage of Royal Mail letters get lost every day. The chances of yours going astray are very small indeed. However, if you wish to send me a £10 note in an envelope, please take these precautions...
Firstly, fold the cash into a piece of paper, as if you were sending a letter. Make sure you write your email address on the piece of paper.
Secondly, send the letter from a post office counter and ask for a proof of postage receipt. This will cost you nothing, it just proves you sent the letter and the time, date and post office you sent it from. If the letter gets lost in transit we will both know and you can claim on the Royal Mail website for the loss of contents.
